Community Health Department

The Department of Community Health at the Benue State College of Health Technology, Agasha, is dedicated to providing high-quality education and training in community health. Our programs are designed to address the critical health needs of our communities and equip our graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective and compassionate healthcare professionals. Overview

Community Health focuses on the health of the entire population, emphasizing disease prevention and treatment through community-based approaches. It addresses health at individual, family, and community levels, aligning with WHO recommendations for improving health outcomes. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills for effective community health service delivery, particularly within the ECOWAS region. Graduates will possess a strong understanding of community health and primary healthcare issues.

Programmes

National Diploma in Community Health (NDCH)

A four-semester full-time programme with SIWES and one year compulsory IT/Clinical Posting

Admission Requirements

NDCH: Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics in WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
